Huayruro: The Huayruro plant is native to Peru, and has been an important part of Peruvian culture for centuries. Huayruro seeds are found in pods in the tall trees of the Peruvian rainforest. The red and black seeds are said to bring good fortune and abundance, while warding off negative energy. Tagua, also known as Vegetable Ivory is primarily the dried seedpod of a palm tree that grows in tropical rainforests. Tagua jewellery and watches are made from the dried and polished seeds. Some indigenous peoples of South America used Tagua to represent the feminine because of its great magnet-like romantic energy. Açaí or Acai is a fast growing palm which contains eight species that are native to Central and South America. Acai seeds are washed, cleaned and dried.After having the materials ready, artisans put together unique and beautiful designs.
